In 2007 a rogue group of guitarists set out to craft a line of superior pedals for gigging and touring players. They analyzed every nuance of traditional and boutique pedals then leveraged the newest technologies found in high-tech electronics to create a new standard in guitar effect pedals. Their design motto became “Superior Technology • Meticulous Craftsmanship • True Innovation.
The first change was to add True Bypass to every pedal. Many guitarists have very expensive amps and retaining their guitar’s tone into the amp was essential. HardWire pedals use high-tech relays that can switch over one hundred thousand cycles without the mechanical problems of standard switches, and the relays will switch to “bypass” when the battery runs out instead of just cutting off your signal.
Nine-volt batteries are great, until you place a standard pedal in your amps effects loop or if you have a hot guitar pickup. Using high-tech switching power supplies, HardWire pedals raise the operating voltage to that of studio gear to get the most out of hot pickups and to perform flawlessly in the high voltage environment of an effects loop.
The new switching power supplies not only made the HardWire pedals operate at a High-Voltage but at a Constant Voltage throughout the life of the battery. This gave the group consistent tone and extended battery life. No more did they have to worry about battery and power supply imperfections because the HardWire’s power supply will always be right.
Last on the list was to make HardWire pedals Tour-worthy. HardWire pedals are designed for the touring musician. Unique Stomplock™ knob guards prevent the controls from accidently being kicked and your tone from being changed from gig-to-gig. Each HardWire pedal includes a custom-cut hook and loop Pedalboard Pad to fasten it to most popular pedalboards and a foot switch Glow Sticker will ensure you see your HardWire effect in the most adverse stage lighting conditions.
HardWire pedals are designed from the circuit board out for the gigging musician. They are designed with the deep understanding of how your guitar and amp interact and to keep your tone intact completely through the chain.
